SHERWOOD PARK, AB: The Sherwood Park Crusaders are proud to announce the signing of forward Nicholas DiPaolo (’06) for the 2024/2025 season. DiPaolo, 17, is currently committed to Niagara University (NCAA, Div.1) for the 2026/2027 campaign.
“We are thrilled to add a player of Nicholas’s caliber to our lineup next year,” stated Crusaders general manager Adam Sergerie. “His skating and speed will be significant assets, and we believe he will impact the game in many ways for us. We attempted to recruit him last year, and when the opportunity arose again this year, we made every effort to secure him. Nicholas is a high-character player, already committed to Niagara University, with junior experience.
“We can’t wait for Crusaders fans to see Nic play, and we believe it won’t be long before he becomes a fan favorite.”
DiPaolo joins the Crusaders following one season with the Wellington Dukes of the OJHL. Last season, his sole season with the Dukes, DiPaolo collected 30 points (11 goals, 19 assists) in 50 games. The Burlington, Ontario native also potted an additional 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists) in 5 playoff games.
The Crusaders would like to welcome Nicholas and the entire DiPaolo family to the organization.
