COMMITTED: Daniel Vasic Joins Crusaders for 2024/2025 Season

SHERWOOD PARK, AB: The Sherwood Park Crusaders are proud to announce the signing of forward Daniel Vasic (’06) for the 2024/2025 campaign. Vasic, 17, is currently committed to Lake State University (NCAA, Div. 1).

“Adding Daniel to our lineup was crucial,” stated Crusaders GM Adam Sergerie. “He possesses a rare ability to beat goalies on the first shot and has consistently scored at every level he’s played. Daniel averaged a goal per game in junior hockey last year at the age of 17, which is incredibly impressive. We believe Daniel will immediately enhance our team’s skill level and will be an exciting player for Crusaders fans to watch in the coming years.”

“He’s already committed to Lake State University, and we look forward to his arrival in Sherwood Park, confident that he will perfectly fit our style of play.”

Vasic played the majority of last season with the Blind River Beavers of the NOJHL. The Newmarket, Ontario native was over a goal-per-game player with the Beavers, collecting a total of 59 points (37 goals, 22 assists) in just 35 games. The 2023/2024 season also saw Vasic named to the NOJHL Second All-Star Team while earning the league’s Forward of the Month honours in December 2023.

The Crusaders would like to welcome Daniel and the entire Vasic family to Sherwood Park.
